Company Overview
Despite its seemingly British origins, the website belongs
to Careerboost Limited, a Cyprus-based company registered
in 2018 and running several essay mills with mixed
results. So while the service seems perfectly respectable
on the surface, the deeper I dug for my review on
Essaygeeks.co.uk, the more unpleasant surprises I
uncovered. Luckily, you don't need to repeat my mistakes
to know to stay away from this company.
Essaygeeks Types of Services
EssayGeeks focuses on academic writing support for
students of all levels. And the most common paper types
include the following:
- Essays
- Presentations
- Dissertations
- Term papers
- Research papers
- Capstone projects
- Business plans
- Case studies
- Articles, etc.
Essaygeeks Reviews & Online Reputation
Based on 106 reviews for Essaygeeks.co.uk, the
SiteJabber rating is a respectable 4.6 stars. However,
despite the positive vibe, I found a handful of negative
posts, and surprisingly, the company representatives
completely ignored them while thanking the authors of
positive reviews. It strikes me as a sloppy customer
support strategy.
The company's Trustpilot page has been suspended, and I
couldn't find a single review on Reddit.
Essaygeeks at Social Media
Despite a respectable Essaygeeks.co.uk rating on
SiteJabber, the service is completely absent from social
media. I couldn't find a live account on Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, or Youtube.
Prices and Deadlines
I wasn't impressed with the Essaygeeks.co.uk price
range, and the three service levels seemed like an
attempt to squeeze more money from unsuspecting
students. Even with a 15% first-order discount, my paper
cost nearly $75. You can see the pricing in the table
below and decide for yourself if you can afford it.
| Service level |
Price per page |
| Standard quality |
From $19.99 to $41.99 |
| Premium quality |
From $21.99 to $43.99 |
| Platinum quality |
From $23.99 to $52.99 |
Conversely, the deadlines range from 3 hours to 10 days.
And even if I received my essay on time, I wouldn't
recommend shorter deadlines, as the writers clearly need
all the time they can get.
Essaygeeks Writers
According to the website, all writers have Master's or
Ph.D. degrees, and the order form lets you choose between
the US and UK writers, implying they are native English
speakers. However, I highly doubt these claims, as the
paper I got was definitely written by an ESL person,
judging by their word choice and awkward phrasing. And I'm
not sure paying extra for a Premium or Platinum quality
writer would have made a difference.
How to Make an Order at Essaygeeks
The order form was pretty straightforward, and it didn't
make me share my phone number and email before providing
an estimate, which is always a plus. The whole process
goes like this:
-
Press the blue 'Order now' button at the top of the
page.
-
Share paper details in the order form, such as topic,
number of pages, etc.
-
Choose the preferred service level and pick extra
features.
- Provide contact information to create an account.
-
Review the order, add a promo code, and cover the cost.
Paper Quality and My Experience Using This Service
Before working on my Essaygeeks.co.uk review, I ordered a
4-page persuasive essay on the potential effects of AI on
the future of college education. So while I expected the
writer to use reference data, my main focus was on the
strength of the arguments.
Unfortunately, the writer focused on a single aspect of a
college education—writing assignments—and ignored all
other potential implications. And even within this narrow
topic, they ignored the potential negative aspects and
only focused on the positives for students.
Besides, as I've already mentioned, the writer's English
wasn't all that great, and neither was their grammar.
Overall, the paper was a disappointment that cost me $75.
Essaygeeks Plagiarism
None of the negative EssayGeeks reviews mentioned
plagiarism problems, so I wasn't too worried. The
Grammarly check returned around 5% similarities, though I
think the rate would have been higher had the writer
bothered to do a basic spell check.
Essaygeeks Additional Features
Add-ons seemed pretty useless to me, as I doubted they'd
add value to the paper. I could choose among VIP support
($9.99), Proofread by an editor ($24.85), or Fulfilled by
top 10 writers ($23.96). There was also an option to
choose a VIP service package for $35.28.
Refund and Revision Policies
Free revisions are available within 14 days of receiving
the paper, though the QA department may limit the number
of edits if they think you're being unreasonable. And if
you want a refund, you only have 72 hours to send your
request, along with an extended list of irregularities and
proof. Otherwise, the QA manager won't even consider your
request. Overall, the terms' wording makes it clear the
company is unlikely to give your money back.
Support and Communication
The support agents I talked to on live chat were
alternating between pushy and apathetic. First, they tried
to make me switch to a higher service level or add a
high-priority status instead of answering my basic
questions. And when I asked for a revision, they took
their time responding and were reluctant to offer help. I
felt like they wanted me to get annoyed enough to give up
my pestering.
Verdict
If my EssayGeeks review seems too harsh, it's because I had
great expectations for this service, which were crushed by
incompetent writers, apathetic support agents, and vague
revision and refund terms. I recommend you ignore the
alluring 15% discount and choose a more reliable service.
